Volunteer Roles at FoodCycle
Hosting Team Member:
As a Hosting Team Member, you'll be the friendly face that greets our guests and helps create a warm, welcoming environment. Think of yourself as the social glue—making sure everyone feels comfy and cared for. No cooking required—just good vibes, a welcoming smile, and a passion for helping others. And fair warning: our food is so good, you might find yourself wanting to sit with our guests and enjoy the experience as a volunteer too!
Cooking Team Member:
Ever wanted to learn how to whip up a tasty meal or just enjoy the kitchen without the pressure? Our Cooking Team Members don't need to be professional chefs—just a willingness to get stuck in, have some fun, and make a difference. We’ll provide the recipes, and you'll bring the enthusiasm! Bonus points if you enjoy a bit of culinary chaos and camaraderie. And don’t be surprised if the food tempts you to join in on the dining as well!
Driver / Collection Opportunities
We have eight other projects across the North East with opportunities to volunteer, we also ask for anyone who wants to help collect and deliver our food to the projects, so that the teams can cook the meals. for full information go to - www.foodcycle.org.uk/volunteer-roles/
