At The Girls' Network, we know that you can't be what you can't see. That's why we connect girls and young women with relatable role models who help them build confidence, broaden their horizons and imagine futures full of possibility.
As a volunteer mentor, you'll be matched with a girl attending a local school in Gateshead. Over six one-to-one mentoring sessions, you'll support her to recognise her strengths, explore future opportunities and feel more confident about what comes next.
You don't need previous mentoring experience. We welcome women from all backgrounds and career paths, and provide full training and ongoing support throughout the programme. The most important thing is a willingness to listen, encourage and help a young person explore her potential.
By giving just a few hours each month, you can help a local girl build confidence, raise her aspirations and discover opportunities she may never have considered.
