The Gateshead Housing Company

The Gateshead Housing Company manages almost 20,000 homes on behalf of Gateshead Council and offers a range of housing services to meet the needs and wants of our customers. As a social housing provider, we are more than 'just a landlord'.  As a social landlord we provide a range of services to help support our customers in their homes and on their estates.  We try to meet the changing needs of customers and the increasing demands being placed upon our resources by involving customers in shaping our services.  Our current involvement structure enables customers to get involved at a level they want. The three types of involvement we offer are meetings, focus groups and e-engagement. In addition to this, we are proactive in delivering opportunities for communities based on current issues that are being faced.  For example, we would like more people to use our online services but recognise that not everyone is able to access digital services, or know how to, so we offer digital training to help people with the basics.  We also offer a training programme called Moving Forward, which offer a wide range of free courses to help improve the health and wellbeing of our tenants and leaseholders. To see all of our course view our Moving Forward training programme.  You can also view our Facebook and Twitter pages to see what we've been doing recently and what's coming up too.
