About the Role

The Treasurer oversees and records all of the charity’s financial activity. This includes tracking income and expenditure, reporting on fundraising totals, and helping the board understand how funds are used. As a new charity, transparency and strong record‑keeping are essential, and this role is central to both.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Keeping clear and accurate financial records
  • Monitoring money coming in and out of the charity
  • Preparing simple reports after fundraising events
  • Supporting decisions about how funds are allocated
  • Helping ensure the charity meets its legal financial responsibilities
  • Assisting with building financial systems for a new organisation

About You

  • Experience of basic finance, bookkeeping, or similar roles is helpful but not essential
  • Comfortable working with numbers and keeping records
  • Honest, reliable, and committed to transparency
  • Interested in supporting the development of a brand‑new charity
