About the Role

The Vice Chair supports the Chair in the day‑to‑day running of our new and growing charity. This is a hands‑on role that helps guide the board, keep discussions on track, and make sure communication between trustees, volunteers, and partner organisations stays strong.

As Vice Chair, you will step in whenever the Chair is unavailable and help ensure the charity stays steady, connected, and moving forward.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting the Chair with leadership of the board
  • Helping to run and guide board meetings
  • Keeping discussions focused and constructive
  • Acting as a point of contact for volunteers and partner organisations
  • Supporting the development of the charity’s early foundations
  • Helping coordinate outreach programmes and links with community hubs

About You

  • Experience in a similar role (paid or voluntary) is helpful but not essential
  • Confident communicating with different people and groups
  • Organised, proactive, and comfortable supporting decision‑making
  • Interested in helping build a new charity from the ground up
