Volunteer Leader - Boys Brigade

We are looking for volunteers who are able to offer their time on a Friday evening to help support the 18th Gateshead's activities.,

Currently we have around 58 young people on our roll making us the largest Boys' Brigade company in Newcastle, Gateshead & Northumberland as part of the Tyneside Battalion.  Our company ranges from 5 - 16 currently, split into Anchors (5-8), Juniors (8-11), Company (11-15) and Seniors (15-18). Our company is also a Boys' Brigade company with a girls association meaning that we have both boys and girls in our ranks.,

If you have a natural flare for inspiring young people, being able to support plan engaging programmes of activity and can work effectively as part of a team of leaders then you could be who we are looking for., It is particularly beneficial, although not essential if you have any particular skills or talents that you can call upon in developing programmes., Initially, volunteers will be recruited as Helpers and will undergo both an enhanced DBS check as well as receiving formal Youth Leader Training through the Boys' Brigades national training programme., At the 18th we invest a lot in out members, but also look to develop our leaders with a wide range of skills.
