Gardening Volunteer - Gateshead community organisation

Gateshead Community Organisation, provides support with food to those who are isolated and vulnerable. The project is also looking to support some of the local neighbourhoods with their gardens.  This is for tenants and residents who are vulnerable or unable to do their garden themselves. 

Volunteers are needed to help supporting the group to deliver these types of activities.  The tasks would include things such as:

• clearing gardens
• sweeping up 
• pruning
• cutting
• digging
• weeding
• planting 
• litter picking 

There are both light weight and heavier activities available through this role and project, so, most types of volunteers can be catered for.  Whether you can help a lot of a little it all makes a difference. 

Equipment can be provided where possible, however if you would like to use your own it would be good if you could also bring it along.
