What's involve in the volunteering role?
We have a busy office with lots of scope for people to help out/ Being an Administrative Volunteer gives you the opportunity to develop your professional skills and support caregivers across Gateshead. We can offer you the chance to put your professional skills in an office setting. You will support the work of the wider team with basic administrative tasks.
The role would include tasks such as:
- Data entry.
- Contacting our caregivers to book places on activities and confirm attendance.
- Supporting the planning and preparation of activities and workshops.
- Any other admin duties as needed.
Can you give us 2 hours or more each week? We value your time and have flexibility for you to volunteer with us between 9:30am and 4pm, Monday to Friday.
Skills needed
• Accurate record keeping.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliability and punctuality and the ability to commit to a regular volunteering pattern.
• Data Protection awareness – regular GDPR training will be an essential part of this role, which we will provide.
• Friendly and empathetic to the needs of our service users.
