The inflatable obstacle course is open to adults and children aged 8+ who can swim 25m. Children aged 4-8 may participate with close adult supervision. Two participants can use the obstacle course together.
The water slide is available for all ages, but children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult.
Each session can accommodate up to 100 people, with the main and small pools open. The improver pool will be closed during these sessions.
Adult to Child Ratios at Birtley Community Pool for Public Swimming
- 1 Adult to 1 Infant (ages 0–3).
- 1 Adult to 2 Children (ages 4–7).
- Children 8+ who can swim 25 metres do not need supervision. For children 8+ who struggle to swim 25 metres, we would recommend adult supervision.
