Connected Voice Digital Inclusion Network
This session is all about connecting families and communities through digital skills. This session is open to everyone.
North East Young Dads and Lads (NEYDL) supports young fathers aged 25 and under to play active positive roles in their children’s lives.
Its award-winning platform DigiDAD offers free films, podcasts and e-learning courses co-created by young dads to build parenting skills and confidence.
Through DigiDAD Gaming, NEYDL is now using online gaming and peer moderation on Discord to reduce loneliness and connect young dads in safe, supportive digital spaces.
Dr.Nick Wiliams, DigiDAD Project Manager, will introduce the work of NEYDL, DigiDAD and DigiDAD gaming in this session.
This session will take place on teams. A joining link will be sent closer to the date of the session.
The Connected Voice Digital Inclusion Network is a Newcastle and Gateshead network aimed at sharing opportunities, information, good practice, and tools to improve digital inclusion for all. There will be one virtual 'lunch and learn' session on the first Tuesday of each month, 12-1pm.
