Volunteer Drive - Carr Hill Community Primary School, Gateshead Council

This volunteer role would involve driving the school's 16-seater minibus to help them provide outdoor educational experiences for the children. 

The school own 3 minibuses which are used regularly to take the children to place like Gibside National Park, Beamish Museum, Kirkley Zoo and swimming at Gateshead Leisure Centre. 

There is no set pattern for when volunteers are needed, but the school would give plenty of notice and it will always be during the school day. 

An enhanced DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) Check is required which the school will apply for. 

In order to drive the school minibus you are required to submit your driving license to the School Business Manager annually and complete Gateshead Council's Drivers Declaration for vehicle insurance as well as Employee Driving Declaration forms.  You must also inform the School Business Manager if your license status changes at any point.  Drivers must adhere to the school's "Driving a Vehicle on School Business Risk Assessment" which will be provided and discussed prior to appointment as a volunteer.
