The Time Theatre school operates from Whickham School and is very community orientated with great links to cluster primary schools.
Time are an independent group who are all about their participants (theatre students). The group run from Whickham School every Saturday 10:00 am - 1:00 pm (term time only).
This is a great opportunity for young people to get involved in the arts as well as enhance children's self-esteem and confidence.
Volunteers are needed for a variety of tasks and activities including (but not limited to):
- helping backstage,
- chaperoning - if the volunteer holds a chaperoning license,
- art work/posters/programmes and other types of marketing activities etc.,
- teaching placements/drama/singing/dancing,
The initial process will include an informal chat and depending on your interests, skills and expertise, you will be be matched to a specific role. Volunteers can get involved at one-off events including support for the days of productions, or longer time.
