Pop up Volunteer Driver - Mobility Aids Service - Newcastle

If you enjoy driving and like meeting people, this is the role for you. You’ll be delivering wheelchairs to people locally or further afield to help them get moving again after illness or injury. Picking up equipment from our Newcastle office to travel to Alnwick. Drive to Morrisons, Alnwick, car park to set up pop-up and to distribute equipment to service users (10am-12pm) Drive to St Paul's church car park to set up pop-up and to distribute equipment to service users (12pm-2pm) Bring returns back to our Newcastle office.

 

Skills needed

Physically able to safely lift or move wheelchairs and other mobility equipment.
A full, clean driving licence with at least 2 years driving experience and confident to drive a larger vehicle/van.
Minimum age 21 years old
Enjoy meeting people and good interpersonal skills.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
IT literate and able to complete on-line training.
Able to commit to a regular shift on a weekly basis.
