We are looking for an oral health practitioner to support our Health and Wellbeing days. 

As a Healthcare Volunteer, you will be using your professional experience to support our members at our Skylights to access healthcare, addressing some of the barriers experienced by people who are experiencing homelessness when they try to seek health services. You will use your professional experience to provide flexible advice and guidance, appointments and empower our members to feel confident in accessing services.

Skills needed

To be successful in this role we are looking for someone who:
- Is experienced in the area or oral health.
- Has an understanding of health services and referral routes available in the local area.
- Is passionate about working towards an inclusive health system for those experiencing homelessness.
- Is empathetic and compassionate to the needs of those experiencing homelessness.
- Is able to communicate well with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds including those who have a range of needs (for example mental health and substance misuse) and who may have English as a second language.
- Is a good listener and patient.
- Understands the importance of keeping an individual’s personal information secure and private and working within the boundaries of the role to keep everyone safe.
- Is passionate about standing with Crisis and our members to end homelessness.
