Our Fit Friends Walkie Talkie Project is looking for volunteers of all ages to meet with an older person to regain their confidence and independence by accompanying them on a walk whether it be to the park, down the road or a stroll to a local coffee shop.
We are great supporters of our volunteers, after all we could not do our jobs without you!,
Skills needed
All volunteers should have a good level of fitness and an understanding of client confidentiality.

Age UK Gateshead will repay any agreed expenses such as bus fares on production of receipts. We agree to pay towards the cost of mileage on all authorized journeys undertaken by car.
