Details

You must be over 18, complete a DBS check (which Diabetes UK pays for) and provide two references.

Finding out that you or a family member has diabetes is hard and it's often helpful to meet other people who have been something similar. Our network of local groups can offer understanding, help and support at an important time.

They are based in the community and coordinated by a committee of dedicated volunteers, each having different skills and experience.

Local Group Treasurers are responsible for the finances of the group by maintaining proper records and following the procedures required by Diabetes UK, including the submission of annual reports.
