Felling Food Network, Volunteer Driver

The Felling Food Network is established within the community of Felling to provide a 3-day emergency food parcel distribution point for local people experiencing food poverty in Felling and the surrounding areas.

The project operates out of Felling on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month from 10:00am - 1:00pm. 

Members of the public are provided with appointment times to attend the foodbank and collect food provision. 

The group also provide practical support around sign posting and information to lots of other sources of help. 

This volunteer role is specifically around a driving provision. The volunteer drivers would be required to:

• Pick up donations on a Wednesday from local food stores in Pelaw and Wreckenton and any supporters and transferring of food to the foodback venue.

Each volunteer driver will be allocated tasks by the project and any support will be greatly appreciated by all involved including the vulnerable families and individuals that this project supports.
