This online session is for you if you are new to the world of safeguarding. It will give you an overview of the key issues.

About this event

Connected Voice Support and Development helps organisations to run successfully and make a positive difference in their communities. This training is for Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations serving North East England

This session will give you an overview of the key issues about safeguarding for both adults and children that any community organisation, charity or social enterprise needs to know.

Please note that this session is for organisations working in the North East of England and spaces are limited to two attendees per organisation or department.

By the end of this session you will:

•           Have an entry level understanding of safeguarding

•           Know to how to recognise and report abuse or harm

•           Understand the importance of responding to safeguarding concerns

•           Feel able to begin making safeguarding part of your day to day activities

Not eligible for this session but still interested in attending? We offer bespoke training covering a range of topics. Our sessions can be delivered online using Zoom making them ideal for organisations based across England.
