Girlguiding Whickham - Rainbows, Brownies and Guides

We have units meeting weekly in term time for girls aged 4-18.

Rainbows (aged 4-7) is all about developing self-confidence, building friendships, learning new things and having fun. By supporting other leaders to run a varied programme of activities you will enable girls to get their hands dirty with arts and crafts, try out cooking and play games. Rainbows is all about learning by doing.

Brownies (aged 7-10) learn new hobbies, play music, explore other cultures and get adventurous outdoors through regular meetings, special events, day trips, sleepovers, camps and holidays. Attending Brownies help girls extend their knowledge and abilities by completing their Brownie interest badges from Aviation to Zero Waste.

Guides (aged 10-14) take part in a wide range of exciting activities at their regular meetings, and at special events or holidays. Girls get involved in anything from adventure sports to performing arts, travel and taking part in community action projects.
