Join us at Green Heart for this Free* Sewing Course for Beginners in collaboration with Gateshead Council Learning and Skills.

For Those with No or Little Sewing Experience

If you have no or very little sewing experience, this is the sewing course for you.

Please note that you must attend the induction and all four sessions as listed below - this is not a 'drop in'.

Course Details

Friday 8 November: Induction & introduction to hand sewing with tutor Antonia Bates - where you will make a very simple heart with hand-sewn patches with different stitches.

Friday 22 Nov, 29 Nov, 6 Dec & 13 Dec: Using new sewing skills to create a machine-sewn cushion cover and a design panel for a tote bag.

All sessions run from 10:30-12:30 at Green Heart, 231-233 High Street, Gateshead, NE8 1AS

Accessible for English Language learners and learners with additional needs.
