Fareshare is primarily about reducing food waste.
Open to anyone in NE21
Our Volunteers collect food from Tesco, M&S, Aldi, Greggs and Co-op. The donated food is usually past it's 'best before' date - it is totally fresh and edible. Chilled food is frozen on its 'use by' date. Sometimes surplus stock or end of lines.
We then offer the food to people in our community. This is open to anyone in NE21.
We rely on donations to enable us to continue to offer this service.
We understand you may not have any money this week but please remember us on your 'payday'. We hope in offering this food that we can help people in our community whilst lessening food waste.
Please bring a bag: there will be a queue which is a testament to the produce we offer and the good company while waiting.
We are not a food bank
Some items like flowers may have a 'suggested donation'.
