Teamwork was established in 1988 to help ease pressures for local people by creating community projects that could not only provide services for local people buy create employment for them too. Our very first project provided catering to the staff building the Garden Festival! Over the years we have developed many community services to address different needs including. Some have come and gone as issues have been addressed and some still exist today. We now manage three not-for-profit organisations in the heart of Gateshead including:-

Foundations Furniture - provides low cost furniture to people facing hardship and collects unwanted, usable items free of charge.

Teams and Bensham Community Care - offers many activities for people aged 65 and over.

Happy to Help - supports people to live independently by helping to manage domestic duties, bill paying, pension collection and assistance to go out for any reasons such as social calls, to appointments or to leisure activities.
