Reading medical letters can be difficult. In some cases this is because the health professional has used abbreviations which are not commonly used in day to day life. This directory of abbreviations was designed to help make letters easier to read by: (1) reducing the number of abbreviations in use and (2) helping patients to interpret those commonly used by doctors.
