There are four Community Fire Stations in Gateshead, these are Gateshead (Dryden Road), Birtley, Swalwell and Chopwell. As well as responding to emergencies, operational firefighters carry out other vital tasks to reduce the risk to the Gateshead community. Delivering Safe and Well Checks are key to preventing loss of life and damage to property.
