The Carers Trust Tyne and Wear care service provides short breaks for adult carers. Our fully trained Carer Support Workers come into your home, step into your shoes and give you a break from the day-to-day stresses of caring. Services are arranged around your needs and can be for a few hours, a whole day, overnight or longer. Carer Support Workers can provide a service in your home or take the person you support out into the community. We're not restricted by age, health condition or personal circumstances. The families that we support all have very different requirements related to their health or ability.
Our Carer Support Workers are trained to at least NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care and have all been vetted through the Disclosure and Barring System (DBS). They provide practical, personal and specialised care, allowing you time for a much needed break.
Our service is registered with the Care Quality Commission, ensuring that it is delivered to a high standard.
