We are a friendly group interested in improving our health and wellbeing. We meet at The Land of Oak and Iron Visitor Centre, Winlaton Mill on the first Wednesday of each month for tea or coffee and a walk in the Derwent Walk Country Park. During the remaining Wednesdays, we meet at Winlaton Mill Village Hall, May Avenue from 10.30am -12.30pm.
We cover a wide range of topics and activities with a theme of looking after the whole person.
Examples have included good and bad fats, the sugar issue, yoga, pilates, tai chi and zumba taster sessions, herbal medicine presentations by a qualified medicinal herbalist, meditation, classical music taster, addictions, colouring therapy and much more.
We always have a break for tea or coffee and time to socialise too.
Funds allowing, we have a few local excursions too.
Anybody is very welcome to join us.
There is no membership fee for the group, but annual membership of the village hall costs £5.
Our meetings are pay as you go at £2. including refreshments.
