Lions clubs provide extensive opportunities for men and women to learn and grow while serving locally and internationally. Lions Clubs International has grown to include 1.4 million men and women in approximately 45,000 clubs located in 202 countries and geographic areas. Mid Tyne Lions Club was formed in 1991 and became a Registered Charity in 2008. We are based in Ryton and our area includes Prudhoe, both sides of the Tyne to Newcastle and Gateshead. The Club is part of Lions Clubs International District 105NE which covers the North East of England and Scotland. As a Lions club member, you can make a difference everyday in your community. Provide support locally or reach out internationally. Grow personally and professionally by participating in our programmes, community service projects and events.  Have an impact on local and international humanitarian issues. Develop relationships with both local and international community and business leaders. Membership in a Lions club is by invitation. If you are interested in membership, contact us and say you want to attend a meeting to learn more. We also meet socially each month for meals out etc. (In fact for anything that enhances the Fun aspect of being a Lion) Attendance is entirely optional. We meet 2nd Tuesdays at 8.00 p.m. Tyneside Golf Club, Old Ryton Village, Tyne and Wear NE40 3Q.
