We are seeking Home Help Assistants to support older people and people with disabilities in Gateshead. In addition, over the next 12 months, we will be supporting households where a young carer lives, and relieve some of the tasks around the home that young carers look after, to free up quality time and reduce stress.

Main duties include:-

  • Ensuring homes are clean and tidy, by following the individual home help plan for each client

  • Providing shopping, prescription collection and paying bills for clients

  • Filling in client records, taking payment and bringing paperwork and payment to the head office on a weekly basis.

Our clients are based across Gateshead but we always try to match our home help assistants with clients that live in the areas that are compatible. Having access to your own vehicle is desirable.

 

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: Flexible (usually between 1-16 hours per week)

Salary: £10.42 per hour plus mileage

  • No weekends
  • Overtime
