Our befriending and outings assistant roles are perfect for work-life balance while supporting older people in Gateshead to lead full, active lives.
-Accompany clients to outings of their choice, such as appointments, social visits, leisure activities, shopping or places of interest for example
-Visit clients at home for a befriending visit, to help ease loneliness and isolation
-£9.75 per hour plus mileage expenses
-No evenings or weekends
-No personal care provided, our services are social in nature, supporting people to live independently
-Must have access to own vehicle
-We build your rota around you and your other commitments - you can chose the hours and days that suit you best, starting with a few hours per week and building up from there, or stay on just a few hours a week if preferred.
-We also have further opportunities for Befriending and Outings Assistants to build up hours as a Home Help Assistant too, providing domestic help to older people and people with disabilities in their own homes if wanted.
