Funding available for projects that invest in supporting Gateshead to thrive
Organisations in Gateshead are being invited to apply for a new £3million fund, for projects that will support people into employment; invest in local businesses and communities; or boost the skills of local people.
We are administering a new UK Community Renewal Fund provided by the UK Government to help local areas prepare for the launch of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund in 2022.
The fund aims to support people and communities most in need across the UK to pilot programmes and new approaches and will invest in skills, community and place, local business, and supporting people into employment.
Ideas that have the greatest potential to deliver against key local priorities to help Gateshead's economy recover from the Covid-19 pandemic will be prioritised.
These priorities include safeguarding existing businesses, supporting new start-ups and growing businesses; protecting jobs and helping people gain skills for current and future jobs; and investing in Gateshead's strategic growth areas, town centres, the rural economy and deprived communities.
Ideas should be submitted to us by midnight Friday 14 May 2021.
