Gateshead Readers at Home

Gateshead Readers at Home is a wonderful established service within the borough of Gateshead for housebound people, operated by Gateshead Library Service in partnership with older people’s charity Royal Voluntary Service.

Offering practical help and support to enable older people to remain independent and participate fully within their community. The service is completely free of charge to the people of Gateshead and can accommodate all readers, whether they read casually or passionately.

We are now on a drive to increase the amount of readers who could benefit from this free service.
