Gateshead Dementia Caregivers

Gateshead Dementia Caregivers Support  groups are peer lead support groups for people who care for those  living with Dementia. Whether they are newly diagnosed or living at home, in a nursing home, or you, the Caregiver are bereaved.

We offer advice, support  and signposting to other services.

We understand what caring for someone who is living with Dementia can entail. We also have speakers from other relevant services, to enlighten us on what help is out there in our community.

Our groups share a laugh and tears and our lived experiences on our and our loved ones Dementia journey.

There is no referral process. Simply come along to one of our meetings if you care for someone who is living with Dementia, you will be very welcome

We meet fortnightly from  25.06.24  13:00 - 15:00 at Leam Lane Methodist Church NE10 

We also meet monthly from 23.09.25 13:30 - 15:30 at  Ryton, Ryton Towers, NE40 3PG
