We are looking for volunteers to provide a befriending and supporting role for the victims of anti-social behaviour.

You may have been a victim yourself and have the time and flexibility to help others who have faced similar situations. Or you simply want to help others in your community. If so, our Anti-Social Behaviour Volunteer Service could be for you.

Set up to offer vulnerable victims the additional support they might need, this joint service across both Gateshead and Newcastle, involves you completing an online training course, together with the option to complete further Community Safety related courses which maybe useful to you, such as Hate Crime, Mate Crime and Preventing Violent Extremism.

You will provide telephone support to the victim on a regular basis and will be provided with a mobile phone to do this. You will also complete an evaluation form at the end of your involvement with each victim.
