Our Community Linking Project

Through chatting to our local GPs we discovered that lots of patients who go to the doctors have problems that the GP can’t solve with a tablet. Maybe they have issues with their housing, or benefits, or relationships. Sometimes these things are making them feel anxious, stressed or physically ill.

Through our Community Linking Project we try to sort out the problems that are causing the stress by listening to patients, helping them to overcome their problems, and linking patients to services in the community that can help. Our workers walk ‘shoulder to shoulder’ with patients, for however long it takes, to resolve the issues that are troubling them.

If you would like to find out who your Community Link Worker is please contact us.

Life Team

The Life Team offers practical, flexible and emotional support to families. They support the families in a non-judgemental way offering life skills support and mentoring.  The team’s focus is on building a relationship with the family and looking for ways to empower each member to live a more fulfilling life, they also offer 1-to-1 sessions using the Thrive Approach.

Covid Community Workers

We work closely with Gateshead Public Health to help our communities understand how to stay safe during Covid. If you have any queries about Covid – current guidance, self-isolation etc – please contact our staff: Kirsty and Angie are happy to talk to  individuals and also community group.
