Cycling Uk in Gateshead

Cycling UK's support for Gateshead groups and organisations. 

Cycling UK is:

• Offering groups and organisations (those currently offering cycling or those wanting to deliver activities) the opportunity to become a Community Club. Groups becoming a Community Club will be eligible for funding to buy in the equipment and training to get there cycling projects started.
• Advise and help groups/ organisations deliver their cycling activities (e.g. set out training needed for volunteers, and source these courses)
• Able to plan large cycle participation events with groups
• Assisting with bike training, bike skills, learn to ride, planning cycle rides (with over 4 years as a trained cycle ride leader and training delivery)
• Helping groups/ organisations secure funding to support and extend their cycling activities
• Offering nationally accredited Cycling UK courses (e.g. Ride Leader courses)
• Helping groups and organisations tackle barriers to participation in cycling, at all levels (e.g. access to all-ability bikes for people with disabilities)
• Promoting and supporting groups activities on a national and local level – linking groups to a regional network of cycling groups
